Coda, Coda, Coda-DD Episode 4

In this post, I asked TDers to be on the look out for the Easter Egg that's not really an Easter Egg which Gimple mentioned on the NYCC panel. It was unclear if he was saying it was in episode 4 or not, but if he did mean episode 4, he was clearly referring to the Coda symbols in this is episode. For a reference as what a Coda is and how it is connected to Beth and her return, here is a wonderful post by @twdmusicboxmystery

I found two coda symbols in the episode. Please let me know if anyone found others. Interestingly, there are other TD related symbols above each of the codas.

In the garage with Theo and the other older gentleman, I don't remember his name, the coda symbol is clearly reflected on the top of the car.

The fact that this coda symbol is literally a reflection on a CAR is like a neon sign for TDers. If Beth did survive by being left in a car, either in the backseat or the trunk, putting the coda symbol on the car would be a clear sign that Beth was "resurrected" from the car as TD believes. Above it is a car sign for a brand of car, these cars no longer sold in North American, with a Chevron pattern like the one in the gray sweater Beth wore during Coda.

Next, there is the coda painted on pillars at the Nest. Soon after Isabelle's Coda-like death, this appears clearly in the shot behind Losang. Above the coda is a compass rose. I won't go over the compass rose symbolism as many other TDers have written about it for years.

So what do these codas mean? If this is the "mythology" Gimple is referring to, why is he calling it out? We know he uses symbols of all kinds in every episode. So, why call out this symbol now? The obvious answer is that the episode is the second Coda and now we will be going back to the first coda and Beth will return. Another NYCC tidbit is that right before the question that elicited Gimple's "Easter Egg" response was a question about crossovers and cameos. Gimple and Zabel looked at each other, laughed, and Zabel said that they are working on something right now.

By the end of season one and now throughout season two of DD, they have clearly repeated parts seasons 4 and 5. Based on this, below is my conjecture as to when Beth will return.

There may be post credits scene that airs after the cable broadcast of 2x6 where we see that Beth is alive like we saw Morgan after 5x8 Coda.

2. It could mean that we are in middle of a replay, but the replay isn't complete. I did a post explaining how we have seen a replay of 5x01, 5x02, and 5x03 here. However, knowing how the rest of the season goes, I don't think we have seen the replay of these episodes yet.

Honestly, as disappointing as it may be, I think season 3 will be about replaying some of these episode before we get Beth.

I'll post more about it later, but we already have a S3 spoiler that during a celebration a military like vehicle pulls up. Then, a man was heard yelling, "They kidnapped my daughter." I believe they were filming episode 2. So, @galadrieljones I believe you were correct about the kidnapping. It's not Laurent but a new character in Spain. Assuming D and C go after the girl, and I am sure they will, that episode may be the replay of Consumed and/or Crossed.

Another confirmation from S3 spoilers is the train connection. Trains are mentioned strangely in a couple of places in episode 4 as @twdmusicboxmystery pointed out in her video. She predicted that we would see a train soon. Guess what? A BTS picture was posted of a yellow(the color of reunion) train being filmed in Spain.

I'll post all the BTS pics I have as soon as S2 is over. I mention all the things TD has been and continues to be right about to show that we should not be too upset if she doesn't show at the end of season 2. She will show soon. Judging by the replays, she will show by the end of season 3 at the latest. Hang in there! In the mean time, Bethyl has the BEST fanfiction writers to keep us entertained!

TD is right. All the signs and symbols point to Beth's return. She will return. Unfortunately, TPTB are not in as a much of hurry to get there as we are.

If the spnepisodebracket craze has shown us anything, it's that the supernatural fanbase is extremely divided, with the lowly sam stan seemingly at the bottom of the pile. sam is always last in polls, so this is a bracket for the 10% or so who always votes for him. because yeah, there's 327 episodes of Supernatural, but how many are popular because of a dean or destiel moment? how many good episodes are drowned out because they focus on sam?

i've chosen, with some crowdsourced peer review (special thanks to @spneveryseason, @suncaptor, and @ambersock!) 125 episodes that are Sam Relevant. Some are extremely sam-centric, some just have a shot where sam looks like he's being crucified that gives me brain worms -- i tried to be generous about it to keep a relatively even seasons distribution! matchups will be random and polls will last 24 hours each. in the tradition of @spnepisodebracket (who this is obviously inspired by and would not be possible without!) i'll try to rb a gifset for every episode in the poll!

a final note: no this is not that serious but the criteria for voting here should be how good the episode is as a SAM episode, not as anything else, so please vote accordingly! i am making this for people who actually enjoy sam and if that is not you, then this is not the poll for you!

Mama & I giggled at the dance scene

When Tommy when grab the other donuts I went “oooh” about to say “is she pregnant?” and my mom went “she’s preggers!”

Also how sweet for Carlos to bring his hubby & fam donuts 🥺

Then when Wyatt went to Owen she’s like “I’m here to talk about my daddy!”

And then after Owen turned Wyatt down Ma was like “I was not expecting him to do that” and honestly same

Then with the Harmonica girl she goes “yikes” and then when the friend said they didn’t have insurance my mom was like “then why are you doing stupid things?” Which is ironic considering how many stupid things her own child (me) has done that needed a doc (blame it on the add baby)

Then when she got mad about the tiktok trend we were like ???

Also we were excited to see Lucy’s actress (911) on a commercial for a new show

Mom laughed about Mateo’s Thanos joke which kind of surprised me, I wasn’t sure if she remembered much about any of the superhero movies I drag her too lol

And I thought Nancy’s “I always thought you were out of his league” was perfect- love TNT, always in each others corners

Mom went “what?!” about Cassandra getting to vet Tommy but I was with TK, that makes sense she’d want to vet Melody’s stepmom until she said that Cassandra wanted to vet Evie & Izzy too! They’re little girls what kind of power trip is this lady on?!

Mom: “So much for that!”

Me: “That’s what you get for trying to take the easy way out!”

When Judd was like “you did what?” I immediately went like “sir you did the same thing!” And then he was immediately chill and I was like okay okay

We both screamed a little when the train hit the car

I was like !!! No!! at TNT being trapped, especially with Tommy calling Wyatt telling him to tell Judd to take care of her girls

Then I was like lI don’t know why I’m so aah they’re not gonna die it’s episode three” and my mom sighed at me and I was like “what? Am I wrong?” She just rolled her eyes at me lol

Anyways I can’t wait for the angst of next week with Carlos & Owen worrying about TK (will Carlos think about lost time?) + Trevor & the girls being worried about Tommy (Trevor praying that if Tommy comes back safe he’ll do whatever he needs to, to get Cassandra off getting Evie & Izzy?) Mateo high of his rescue crashing down (Nancy was just with him congratulating him and now he might lose her?)

Anyways I’m so psyched for next weeks episode

Tina Cohen-Chang is on a quest for Prom Queen glory, but will a slushie catastrophe ruin her night? But at least she has the New Directions to back her up.

Over in New York, Rachel faces her own uncertainties as she waits for Funny Girl news while Santana is the first of the New York Crew to break-through with a paid gig.

Will Tina rise above the high school pettiness and drama (come on, it's Glee), and can Rachel Berry's Broadway dreams survive the cut (come on, it's Glee)? Guess you'll have to tune in to find out.

Was the Wilhelmannequin that Mark shouts at just Vanesssa in makeup? Her and Jean Smart should do a live Madame Tussauds show. Also, I could not remember who pushed Christina so I was actually quite surprised at the reveal.

Workin' Moms (with mum) 1x01 Bare

Kate enthusiastically returns to work following her maternity leave and is faced with the ultimate challenge: Can she "have it all?" Anne gets shocking news, and Frankie experiences postpartum depression in her own unique way.

The first scene was shot from shoulder height clearly implying they were topless, but to then have a wider angle actually showing their breasts and that they were in the middle of a parenting class was hilarious.

The Power 1x08 Just a Girl

Secrets are exposed - new bonds are formed - others are shattered - as our characters journeys grow increasingly intertwined across an ever-changing world.

I'm finding that I'm not really invested in how any of the storylines will end next ep. Maybe part of that is because I have a bad cold atm and am struggling to concentrate. But I think the writing has wasted the potential of the cast and made their characters kinda boring and one dimensional. 😬

After Alison's revelation, Mike is having nightmares and to raise cash they look at selling some of the estate land whilst Thomas tries to write a poem within a day. Julian and Pat argue about North and South.

I didn't really give two shits when the Captain said we're all British tbh. But when Pat fought with Julian about Yorkshire pride I was ready to throw down. The North, in particular Yorkshire, will always be superior. It's just a fact. Also, it was nice of Thomas to give Fanny credit for her poem.

Sin huellas (No Traces) 1x08 El salvaje Alicante (Season Finale)

Under the burning sun of the desert, Desi and Cata face off Néstor and Eduardo once and for all in the middle of a Western town.

What a ridiculous and overly-dramatic finale showdown. Very fitting for the tone of the show lol. I was very concerned about one of the female characters dying as a shock ending. But thankfully no gays were buried. And to end with them safe and happy and dancing the night away together was a lovely way to end a very entertaining season.

5x02 had to be Jordan’s worst episode. He’s a terrible brother to Olivia.

First of all, why are you siding with Spencer over your sister in their break up? Spencer dumped her, where is the loyalty? Worse than where is the loyalty why are you saying you’d dump her too? Why are you taking your sisters ex boyfriend out to smash somebody else and then feeling like he’s the weird one and a unicorn for sending the girl home at the end of the night because he still has feelings for his ex girl- WHO IS HIS SISTER? THE ONE HE STILL HAS FEELINGS FOR AND LOVES IS HIS SISTER! And he finds that odd. At the party he’s like, well you date like you’re tryna marry- just fuck someone new and have fun? 

He chose bro and we’re men over being a brother to his twin sister. 

Why was he trying to get him to fuck somebody else real quick? It was odd behavior for someone seeing that someone loves his sister like that. He’s stuck on Olivia. Isn’t that a good thing? Like shouldn’t he see that his best friend loves his sister like that and can’t see anybody else and be the one like don’t while JJ and Coop pressure him? Spencer clearly loves his sister and he’s still hung up on her and he’s encouraging other women on him? Bro over sis to that extent? Is he for real?

A few notes on the winners:

Only 17 out of 48 winners are from the post-Kripke era.

No episodes from seasons 10 or 15 made it into Round 2.

While the majority of polls were sweeps, the closest race by far was Pac-Man Fever v. Into the Mystic, with PMF coming out on top by 0.6% in the end.

Most polls had around 200-250 votes, with a few outliers in the more controversial polls. Group 24 (3x03 v 3x08 v 6x13) had 446 votes, Group 4 (3x11 v 13x19 v 1x10) had 454 votes, and Group 9 (2x17 v 7x17 v 4x13) had 497 votes.

Only 2 of the 10 episodes from season 5 didn't make it, with one of them losing out to another s5 episode (Swap Meat to Changing Channels). This makes season 5 the most represented season going into Round 2.

4x21 - Last Week Fights, This Week Tights - Jess in this episode 💞💞💞 Luke and Lorelai's dancing!!!!

4x22 - Raincoats and Recipes - Luke and Lorelai get me every time...why did they have to ruin it with Rory and Dean???

7x22 - Bon Voyage - the party, Luke and Lorelai, the early morning coffee 💞
